Wrong Content in a Data Cell

What should you do if CFO Scoreboard complains about the content in a certain cell?

Not to worry, just skim through this checklist. Also make sure to 

1. Start with the specific cell that CFO Scoreboard gives you

Usually CFO Scoreboard will tell you exactly where to look! Make a note of the cell reference in the error message, and check there first.

Next we'll look at different kinds of "wrong data type" that CFO Scoreboard might find ...

2. Make sure number cells contain numbers or simple formulas

The middle of the document should either contain empty cells, real numbers, or simple formulas such as SUM and so on. Here are some examples of how those number cells can go wrong:

3. Make sure account names are simple letters and numbers

The left side of the document should contain account names that are composed of only letters, numbers, and common symbols like hyphens etc. If you have account cells that contain formulas, complex symbols, and so on, it can lead to trouble. Here are some examples:

4. Make sure dates are actually dates

CFO Scoreboard wants your date headers to be consistent also to follow our recognized patterns. You'll get an error about an invalid cell up there if suddenly there's a non-date value of some sort. For instance:
