Cash Flow Comparison to Prior Periods
The Cash Flow Comparison tool compares your operating cash flow in the current time period to the prior time period and to the same time period the prior year.
This functionality looks similar to a “Direct Method” cash flow statement, which is simply another of way calculating and displaying the operating cash flow during a certain period of time. The Direct Method is helpful because it shows you exactly how much cash came in from your customers, how much cash you used for inventory, what cash you used to pay for operating expenses, and what cash you spent on income taxes, interest, and other expenses.
